After several months of meetings and retreats, engagement with thousands of stakeholders through surveys and focus groups, input by Connecticut State Department of Education staff and leadership, the latest draft, which includes goals, action items and outcomes, has been developed. McKinney-Vento Local Homeless Education Liaisons (MVH)

Local Homeless Education Liaisons are responsible for ensuring the identification, school enrollment, attendance and opportunities for academic success of students in homeless situations. Local liaisons serve as a district’s lead homeless education contact and are required to fulfill duties of the position established under the federal McKinney-Vento Act [42 U.S.C. §11432(g)(1)(J)(ii)].
