Office of Strategic Planning

The Office of Strategic Planning and Partnerships focuses on maximizing College and Career Readiness and opportunities for Connecticut high school students by developing partnerships between Connecticut's secondary schools, higher education and business. The Office strives to create innovative approaches to ensure that today's Connecticut students are prepared to become tomorrow's Connecticut workforce by offering innovative ideas and support to local districts in their efforts to make the best use of limited resources to provide important new educational approaches and programs. In addition, this office is responsible for the Open Choice and Interdistrict Magnet School programs, and conducts in-depth data analysis and research for a variety of important CSDE projects. As the policy and long term planning branch of the agency, the office collaborates cross-divisionally and with outside parties to produce clear and consistent policies, procedures, and resources for agency, school and district leadership.
