Adult Education Teacher Certification

Overview

Providers receiving adult education funds through the Connecticut State Department of Education must have teachers who are certified in accordance with the Department's Certification Regulations.

Adult Education Endorsements

The following endorsements are classified as adult education:

  • English to Non-English Speaking Adults (#088)
  • High School Credit Diploma Program (#106)
  • External Diploma Program and Noncredit Mandated Programs (#107)


Teachers holding a current TESOL (#111) certification are also permitted to teach ESL in Adult Education:
