VBID Updated Templates Open for Public Comment

The Office of Health Strategy seeks public comment on the updated Value Based Insurance Design Templates.

In 2016, the SIM Value Based Insurance Design (VBID) Consortium released VBID insurance plan templates that could be adapted by employers to improve health benefits for their employees. In 2017, the templates were updated to simplify the options, as well as to incorporate new VBID concepts. In August, the SIM Steering Committee approved the next iteration of VBID templates as recommended by the VBID Consortium. The updated templates can be accessed through the below links. Additionally, the VBID Consortium Feedback Report summarizes the changes that were made to the templates and includes feedback from the Consortium.
