Welcome to the webpage for Project No. 0173-0544 Installation of Centerline Rumble Strips on Route 17 (Middletown Ave) in North Branford.
A virtual public informational meeting for the project was held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 6:00 p.m.
This project involves installing centerline rumble strips (CLRS) to reduce the number of roadway departures and head-on crashes. The planned CLRS are from North Haven-North Branford Town Line to the Route 22 Connector.
Right-of-way impacts are not anticipated with this project. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2026. The estimated cost for this project is approximately $9,000 with 100% state funds.
