National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Program
In November 2021, President Biden signed the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, also referred to as the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. This bill allocated up to $7.5 billion over five years for states to enhance and buildout their electric vehicle charging infrastructure. There are two sources for federal funding under this program;
• National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Formula Program ($5 billion): Provides funding to States to strategically deploy electric vehicle charging infrastructure and to establish an interconnected network to facilitate data collection, access, and reliability.
