About Us
It is the function of the Material Evaluation and Specification Unit is to predetermine if materials used by Contractors and the Connecticut Department of Transportation in the construction and maintenance of transportation facilities comply with the specification requirements and plans, and to perform investigational work on new materials and procedures constantly being proposed for use in the construction and maintenance of our transportation system.
