Public Invited to the Stamford Transportation Center Master Plan Open House
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) will hold an open house for the Stamford Transportation Center (STC) Master Plan (State Project No. 301-0512) to provide the community an opportunity to learn about the proposed plan and obtain input from the public that will help shape the plan. Visual concepts for Station Place, ticketing areas, and the bus and shuttle level have been released and are now available on the plan’s website. Representatives from CTDOT and the planning team will be available to answer questions and listen to feedback on the proposed concepts.
The purpose of the master plan is to develop recommendations and conceptual improvements for the state-owned Stamford Transportation Center complex, leading to enhanced access and increased public transit use, transforming the STC into a best-in-class facility.
The open house will occur in person on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, from 4:00-7:30 p.m. at the Stamford Transportation Center at 30 Station Place in Stamford. The meeting will be open to the public for comments and questions and will occur in the CTDOT conference room on the station’s lower level. The meeting location is accessible to persons with disabilities. Parking can be found in the parking garage at 43 Station Place in Stamford.
“The Stamford Transportation Center Master Plan is a collaborative effort between CTDOT, the city of Stamford, and other community stakeholders on how to enhance the user experience in and around the Transportation Center,” said Connecticut Department of Transportation Commissioner Garrett Eucalitto. “We encourage the public to attend this open house and share their thoughts and ideas with us as we continue to develop our plan with input from the community and transit users.”
The public comment period is open beginning on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, and closes on June 8, 2023. Throughout the 30-day comment period, the public can provide comments using any of the following methods:

- Participate in an online user survey at www.STCMasterPlan.com

Spanish translation will be provided at this meeting. American Sign Language interpretation and translation in Albanian, Arabic, French Creole, and Portuguese translation can be provided for the meeting upon request. Please make any translation requests at least five (5) business days prior to the meeting by calling CTDOT at (860) 594-2109. Language assistance is provided at no cost to the public, and efforts will be made to respond to timely requests for assistance.
