The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) today announced temporary weekend train schedule adjustments effective October 22-23, and October 29-30, 2022, on Shore Line East (SLE) to accommodate a railroad switch replacement project in Branford.
Substitute bus service will replace SLE trains 3610 (departing New Haven at 10:29 a.m.) and 3637 (arriving in New Haven at 1:26 p.m.). Other trains may also be impacted with train time adjustments up to 30 minutes later than the scheduled departure times.
The construction will also impact track assignments. On the weekend of October 22 and 23, all trains will make their scheduled stops on track 1 at Branford station and Guilford station. On the weekend of October 29 and 30, all scheduled stops will be on track 2 at Branford station and track 4 at Guilford station.
SLE passengers are encouraged to pre-purchase their rail tickets before boarding. CTrail passengers may purchase their rail tickets using the CTrail eTix mobile ticketing app, at CTrail ticket vending machines in New Haven, or Amtrak ticket windows in New Haven, Old Saybrook, and New London (credit and debit cards only).

While passengers are no longer required to wear masks on board trains or in stations, masks are welcome and remain an important preventive measure against COVID-19. Anyone needing or choosing to wear one is encouraged to do so.
