The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) today announced rail service changes effective December 12, 2022, on the Hartford Line (HL) following the completion of the second stage of Amtrak’s rail replacement project in Meriden, and between Berlin and Hartford. This project impacted train times, with adjustments of up to 35 minutes. With the second stage completed, the HL returns to a routine schedule without adjustments to arrival or departure times.
All train time adjustments will be removed from the CTrail and Amtrak Hartford Line schedule which becomes effective Monday, December 12, 2022. The Hartford Line rail schedule is available here.
The Amtrak rail replacement project consists of three stages of work to replace rail at or near its useful life and keep the railroad in a state of good repair. The final stage of this project will start in 2023.
