Pavement Marking Project: State Routes Within District 1

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a pavement marking project will be performed on State Routes within District 1 starting on Sunday, August 6 through November 30, 2023. The project consists of pavement marking grooves and epoxy pavement marking applications on center lines, shoulder lines and handwork. This project is scheduled to occur Sunday, August 6, 2023, to Thursday, November 30, 2023, by Safety Markings, Inc.

No work will be performed the day before or day after all State recognized holidays.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Traffic control personnel, sign patterns, cones, and truck mounted attenuators will guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Sunday – Friday on secondary routes and 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday – Friday on expressways.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in these areas.
