The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing a hazardous tree removal project will take place on Underhill Road in Newtown on Monday, July 24, 2023. The project consists of removal of hazardous trees on Underhill Road from Center Street to Alpine Drive.

Motorists can expect a road closure on Underhill Road from Center Street to Alpine Drive. Traffic control signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The detour will be Underhill Road to Riverside Road back to Underhill Road. The work schedule for this project is 8:00a.m. to 3:00p.m.
