The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing the start of work on the Putnam Bridge Trail Connection beginning July 5, 2022.
The project consists of the completion of the bicycle and pedestrian facility leading to the Route 3 Putnam Bridge from local roadway systems in Wethersfield and Glastonbury. The primary purpose of the multimodal trail connection is to provide safe, convenient, and functional non-motorized mode of transportation to meet the regular travel needs of the public.
DOT Project No. 0053-0190 was awarded to Richards Corporation Inc. at a cost of $8,207,115.85 on April 27, 2022 and is scheduled to be completed October 27, 2023. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 1 in Rocky Hill.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
There will be lane closures on Route 3 Southbound, Sunday through Friday from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. and on Route 3 Northbound, Sunday through Friday from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
