Drainage Repairs on State Route 700 Fairfield Avenue in Bridgeport
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a drainage repair operation will be performed on SR 700 (Fairfield Avenue) in Bridgeport.
The project consists of drainage repairs that will be performed on State Route 700 (Fairfield Avenue) in Bridgeport. This project is scheduled to occur Tuesday, December 7, 2021 through Monday, December 13, 2021.
The drainage repairs will be performed by Reliable Excavating Company Inc.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect a closure on State Route 700 (Fairfield Avenue) between Broad Street and Lafayette Circle in Bridgeport. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Detour as follows:
Westbound is from Fairfield Avenue, left on Broad Street to a right on Cannon Street and a right onto Lafayette Circle to a left onto Fairfield Avenue. Eastbound on Fairfield Avenue to Lafayette Circle to a left onto John Street and a left onto Broad Street and a right to Fairfield Avenue.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
