Roof Replacement of the Data and Training Center located at 2710 and 2780 Berlin Turnpike, Newington

The Department of Transportation’s (Department) Office of Engineering is developing plans for the roof replacement of the Data and Training Center located at 2710 and 2780 Berlin Turnpike in Newington.

The main purpose of this project is to remove and replace the existing roof.

The project involves replacing the existing roof with a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) membrane roof system and performing other miscellaneous improvements.

The present schedule indicates that the design will be completed in September 2020, with construction anticipated to start in the spring of 2021. This project will be undertaken with 100 percent state funds.

It is the Department’s policy to keep the public informed and involved when such projects are undertaken. It is important that the community share its concern with us to assist in the project’s development. At this time, it is not anticipated that a public information meeting will be necessary.
