Nighttime Resurfacing Project Route 6 and State Road 911 in Danbury Bethel and Newtown

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 6 and State Road 911 in Danbury, Bethel and Newtown, from Route 25 in Newtown to the I-84 Exit 8 eastbound off ramp in Danbury, June 16-July 21, 2020.     

The project consists of milling & resurfacing a 4.25-mile segment of Route 6 State Road SR 911. The milling on this project is scheduled to occur on Tuesday June 16, 2020 and is scheduled to be completed on Thursday June 25,2020.  The resurfacing of this project is scheduled to occur on Thursday July 9, 2020 and is scheduled to be completed on Tuesday July 21, 2020.

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2020 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect delays and one-way alternating Traffic.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 pm to 5:00 am Sunday through Thursday.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
