• 12/27/2019 Nighttime Bridge Maintenance on I-95 South in Fairfield

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-95 southbound in Fairfield, beginning on the evening of Monday, January 6, 2020.

• 12/27/2019 Lane Closures for Bridge Inspections - December 30 2019 - January 3 2020

• 12/26/2019 Motorist Advisory, Long-Term Lane Closure Scheduled on Route 8 Southbound for Ongoing Waterbury Mixmaster Work

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing a scheduled long-term lane closure on Route 8 southbound to facilitate construction work (concrete bridge deck replacement) associated with the Route 8/I-84 Interchange (Mixmaster) rehabilitation project in Waterbury. One lane of Route 8 southbound will be closed beginning on Sunday, January 5, 2020, for a duration of approximately two years.

• 12/20/2019 Closure and Detour of Route 32 in Norwich Beginning on January 6, 2020

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the closure and detour of Route 32 in Norwich for construction activities related to the replacement of a failing Corrugated Metal Pipe (CMP) and associated drainage outlets that pass under Route 32 immediately south of Falvey’s Motors. The closure and detour will commence on January 6, 2020, and the duration will be approximately two weeks.

• 12/19/2019 Nighttime Bridge Maintenance on I-91 Bridge in Hartford

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project for concrete deck repairs will be performed on I-91 southbound in Hartford, overnight Saturday/Sunday, December 21-22, 2019.

• 12/19/2019 Daytime Lane Closures for Highway Sign Repairs

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that daytime lane closures for sign repairs are being performed on Route 8 southbound in Thomaston between Exits 38 & 37, and I-84 westbound in Danbury between Exits 5 & 4. This work is expected to be completed by January 31, 2020.

• 12/17/2019 Connecticut Christmas Holiday Travel

  In anticipation of increased holiday travel demand, the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) announced there will be four extra CTrail Hartford Line trains between New Haven and Hartford on Tuesday, December 24. The additional two round-trip trains will operate five to 10 minutes behind scheduled northbound Amtrak trains and will operate 30 to 40 minutes behind Amtrak southbound trains.

• 12/16/2019 Nighttime Safety Improvements on I-395 Southbound in Lisbon and Griswold

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime safety improvement project will be performed on I-395 Southbound in Lisbon and Griswold, beginning Wednesday, December 18, 2019.

• 12/13/2019 Route 109 Bridge in Morris to Re-open December 20

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the road closure and detour in Morris, to facilitate ongoing construction activities related to the replacement of Bridge Number 01309, which carries Route 109 over the Wigwam Reservoir, will continue through December 20, 2019, at which time the road will re-open.

• 12/11/2019 Pothole Repairs on I-84 Mixmaster in Waterbury

  Two lanes of I-84 on the westbound side of I-84 in Waterbury will be closed at midday for pothole repairs.

• 12/10/2019 Nighttime Bridge Maintenance at the I-91- I-95 split in New Haven

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on the I-91 & I-95 SB split in New Haven, overnight Thursday-Friday, December 12-13, 2019.

• 12/5/2019 Gold Star Memorial Bridge Sidewalk between Groton and New London to be Closed for an Estimated Two Weeks Beginning on December 16, 2019

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the sidewalk on the Gold Star Memorial Bridge between Groton and New London will be closed for approximately two weeks, beginning on December 16, 2019. The closure is necessary to facilitate modifications to the existing pedestrian railing system in locations adjacent to the newly installed overhead sign support structures.
