12/27/2017	Superelevation and Roadway Friction Improvements – Route 15 in Greenwich The Connecticut Department of Transportation’s (Department) Office of Engineering is developing plans to provide superelevation and roadway friction improvements to four curves on Route 15 in Greenwich. The purpose of the project is to decrease the number of crashes occurring within these stretches of roadway.

12/21/2017	I-95 Southbound Bridge Street On-Ramp in Groton to be Closed Beginning December 23, 2017 The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the Bridge Street on-ramp to I-95 southbound in Groton will close beginning December 23, 2017. The closure will allow for improvement to traffic flow and operations in the area as part of the ongoing I-95 southbound Gold Star Bridge rehabilitation project in Groton and New London. The ramp will be closed for an extended duration.

12/18/2017	I-95 Northbound Exit 8 Off-Ramp in Stamford to be Closed on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the closure of the I-95 Northbound Exit 8 off-ramp in Stamford on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, to facilitate repairs. The closure will allow for necessary repairs to an existing utility cover which is impeding winter-weather snow removal operations.

12/4/2017	Operational and Safety Improvements Along US 202/Route 10, Route 20, and Route 189 in Granby The Connecticut Department of Transportation’s (Department) Office of Engineering is developing plans to improve the intersections of US 202/Route 10 at Route 20 and Route 189 in the town of Granby. The purpose of this project is to address traffic operational concerns and improve vehicular and pedestrian safety along US 202/Route 10, Route 20, and Route 189.

11/30/2017	I-84 Waterbury Construction Update The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that on Friday night, December 1, at 9:30 PM, the I-84 Westbound Exit 25 off-ramp will be closed for work to tie-in the off-ramp with the new eastern portion of Scott Road Bridge. Westbound Exit 25-bound traffic will detour at Westbound Exit 25A (the Austin Road exit). The detour route is as follows:

11/28/2017	I-95 Lane Closures in Stamford for the Rehabilitation of Bridge 0032 over Metro North Railroad The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that occasional lane and shoulder closures will occur on I-95 NB and SB between Exit 8 & 9 in Stamford between 7PM and 5AM over the next six weeks, beginning on November 29, 2017. The closures are necessary to facilitate the ongoing rehabilitation of Bridge 0032 over Metro North Railroad.

11/27/2017	Project No. 161-141 – Safety and Operational Improvements on Route 7 (Danbury Road) at Grumman Hill Road in Wilton The Connecticut Department of Transportation’s Highway Design Unit will be holding a public informational meeting regarding the safety and operational improvements on Route 7 (Danbury Road) at Grumman Hill Road in Wilton. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at the Trackside Teen Center, 15 Station Road, Wilton, Connecticut. A design presentation will start at 7:00 p.m. and a question and answer period immediately following. The snow date for this meeting will be on Thursday, December 14, 2017.

11/21/2017	Public Informational Meeting – Realignment of Route 6 and Notch Road and Construction of Shared Use Path in Bolton The Connecticut Department of Transportation (Department) will conduct a public informational meeting to present the findings of Proposed Project No. 012-003, a concept to construct potential improvements in the Town of Bolton, including the realignment of Notch Road and Route 6 and the construction of a shared-use path from the Hop River Trail to Quarry Road. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, December 6, 2017 (snow date of Tuesday, December 12, 2017) at the Bolton Town Hall, 222 Bolton Center Road, Bolton, Connecticut. The presentation will begin at 7:00 p.m.

11/7/2017	Alternating One-Way Traffic Scheduled for One Night on Route 302 in Newtown To facilitate the ongoing replacement of Bridge 03271, Route 302 in Newtown will have alternating one-way traffic for one night on Wednesday, November 8, beginning at 6:00 PM, and ending on Thursday, November 9, at 6:00 AM. This traffic pattern is needed while a water main is relocated. Traffic on adjacent Elm Street may be impacted as well.

9/27/2017	Steel Pile Structural Condition Inspection Scheduled for Bridge 01349 (Cribari Bridge) in Westport The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled structural condition inspection of several steel piles supporting the Cribari Bridge which carries Route 136 over the Saugatuck River in Westport. The inspection process is anticipated to take place on October 10, 2017. The inspection is expected to be completed within 2 weeks of the start date.

An open forum for individual discussions with Department officials will begin at 4:00 p.m., followed by formal presentations at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

1/6/2017	East Hartford - Weekend Closure of Exit 55 from I-84 Westbound to Route 2 Eastbound as well as the Route 2 Eastbound On-Ramp from Governor Street, beginning Saturday morning, January 7th, 2017 and Ending Sunday afternoon, January 8th, 2017 The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the planned weekend closure of Exit 55 from I-84 westbound to Route 2 eastbound, and the Route 2 eastbound on-ramp from Governor Street beginning on January 7, 2017, weather permitting. The closure will be from 6:00 AM Saturday morning to 6:00 PM Sunday afternoon.
