Nighttime Bridge Maintenance on the Merritt Parkway in Trumbull

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on Route 15 (Merritt Parkway) in Trumbull, Monday, December 12, through Friday, December 23, 2016. Work hours will be 9 pm to 6 am.

The work consists of bridge maintenance on Bridge 05294 (Rt. 108, Nichols Ave. Underpass) in Trumbull.

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2016 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Mohawk Northeast.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect various lane closures on Rt. 15 NB & SB between Exit 50, Rt. 127, and the

Exit 52 Ramp to Route 8, in Trumbull.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. (Monday through Friday)

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
