12/21/2016	Public Information Meeting Regarding Intersection Improvements on Route 34 (Derby Turnpike) at Baldwin Road in Orange & Computerized Traffic Signal System (CTSS) Upgrade on Route 34 in Derby and Orange The Connecticut Department of Transportation (Department) will conduct a public information meeting concerning proposed intersection improvements on Route 34 (Derby Turnpike) at Baldwin Road in Orange on Thursday, January 19, 2017, in the Meeting Room located on the lower level of the Orange Town Hall, 617 Orange Center Road, Orange, CT 06477. Additional improvements include the upgrade of the existing Route 34 Computerized Traffic Signal System (CTSS) in Derby and Orange. An open forum for individual discussions with Department officials will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by a formal presentation at 7:00 p.m.

12/8/2016	Five-Day Road Closure Scheduled for Route 178 in Bloomfield Beginning Monday, December 12, 2016 In order to facilitate the replacement of a culvert carrying Filley Brook below Route 178 in Bloomfield, the Connecticut Department of Transportation will be closing Route 178 beginning on Monday, December 12, 2016. The closure is expected to last five days, with the road reopening on December 16, 2016. The closure will be from Prospect Street to Crestview Drive.

Redeker and other state and local officials in a ceremony and ribbon-cutting to mark the completion of the train station expansion in Old Saybrook. The project included the addition of 200 parking spaces, a bus depot to better network the station to public transit, new sidewalks for pedestrians, and other improvements. The upgrades are part of the state’s overall effort to expand and modernize public transportation.

The first meeting will be in Westport on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the Westport Town Hall Auditorium, 110 Myrtle Avenue, Westport. A second meeting will take place in Fairfield on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at the North Stratfield Elementary School, 190 Putting Green Road, Fairfield. Formal design presentations will be provided at 7:00 p.m.

1/5/2016	Overnight Closure of I-95 Southbound Exit 44 Off-Ramp Scheduled for Thursday Night, January 7 to Friday morning, January 8, in New Haven and West Haven The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the overnight closure of the I-95 southbound Exit 44 off-ramp from Thursday, January 7, at 10 PM to Friday morning, January 8, 2016, at 6 AM. The closure is necessary to facilitate the installation of a new impact attenuation system at the I-95 southbound traffic split prior to the Howard Avenue Bridge.
