12/11/2015	Testing of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle System for Bridge Inspection Services on the Gold Star Memorial Bridge is POSTPONED The testing of an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) system to perform limited bridge inspection services on the Gold Star Memorial Bridge over the Thames River in Groton and New London, originally scheduled for Tuesday, December 15, 2015, is postponed and will be rescheduled to a later date.
12/10/2015	Bridge Maintenance on Route 7 Southbound in Norwalk The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that bridge maintenance will be performed on five bridges on Route 7 southbound in Norwalk beginning Monday, December 14, and concluding on Wednesday, December 30, 2015.
12/9/2015	CTfastrak East Main Street Station Mid-day Road Work; Buses Detoured The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a paving operation will impact the use of the CTfastrak East Main Street Station in New Britain on or about Thursday, December 10, 2015. The operation will take place during the mid-day period from 9AM to 3PM. Traffic operations on East Main Street will be maintained, but the platforms will be closed to pedestrians.

12/4/2015	Alternating One-Way Traffic for Paving of Bridge No. 00330, U.S. Route 1 Over Wepawaug River in the Town of Milford Starting December 4, 2015 The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a paving operation with alternating one-wat traffic will commence on or about Friday, December 4, 2015 at Bridge No. 00330 on U.S. Route 1 in the Town of Milford.
12/1/2015	Resurfacing, Bridge and Safety Improvements - Interstate 91 in Wethersfield and Hartford The Connecticut Department of Transportation is developing plans for resurfacing, bridge and safety improvements on I-91 in Wethersfield and Hartford. The purpose of the project is to rehabilitate the underlying concrete slabs which are exhibiting signs of distress, to perform routine maintenance on the various bridges, and to upgrade the roadside appurtenances.
11/25/2015	Work Suspended for Rehabilitation of Bridge No. 00732, North Ave over Route 15 in the Town of Westport The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that work on the North Avenue bridge over Route 15 in Westport, will be suspended on or about Friday December 4, 2015 until April, 2016 after the site is prepared for the winter season shutdown.
11/24/2015	Operational Improvements Under Development for I-91 Northbound at Interchange 29 The Connecticut Department of Transportation’s Office of Engineering is developing plans to relocate I-91 northbound Interchange 29, and widen I-91 northbound and Route 15 northbound to I-84 East in Hartford and East Hartford. The purpose of the project is to address safety concerns associated with the capacity and operational deficiencies at the I-91 northbound Interchange 29, which routinely experiences significant traffic delays and above average crash frequency. Much of this can be attributed to the steep vertical grade and single-lane configuration of the ramp, the heavy traffic weave on the Charter Oak Bridge, and the near capacity volumes on I-91.
11/18/2015	Intermittent, Short-Term Highway Closures on I-95 NB and SB in the Vicinity of Exit 30 (Stratford) on November 23, and December 1, 2015 The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that construction activities along Interstate 95 Northbound and Southbound near Exit 30 in the town of Stratford will require the implementation of a full highway closure for intermittent periods of 10 minutes during the nighttime hours on November 23, 2015 and December 1, 2015 for removal of existing and installation of new overhead signs and sign supports.

11/5/2015	Weekend closure of Route 130 (Fairfield Avenue) in Bridgeport Scheduled for November 6 to November 9, 2015 and November 13 to November 16, 2015 The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that Route 130 (Fairfield Avenue) from Commerce Drive to Railroad Avenue eastbound will be closed to traffic beginning 9 p.m. Friday and will reopen to traffic on Monday for the periods of November 6 to November 9, 2015 and November 13 to November 16, 2015, in the Town of Fairfield.

4/20/2015	I-84 WATERBURY CONSTRUCTION UPDATE- Plank Road from Harpers Ferry Road to White Oak Lane in Waterbury to Close The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that construction activities related to the I-84 reconstruction in Waterbury requires the closure of Plank Road from Harpers Ferry Road to White Oak Lane for approximately 18 months. The road is scheduled to be closed on April 27, 2015 through October 2016. There will be no vehicular access to Brookdale Lane from Plank Road; access will be maintained from East Main Street. Vehicular and pedestrian access to residences within the closed section of Plank Road will be maintained.

1/30/2015	DOT to Install Osprey Nest Platform on East Haddam Swing Bridge In response to requests from local citizens and public officials, the Connecticut Department of Transportation will erect an osprey nest platform on the East Haddam swing bridge, which carries Route 82 over the Connecticut River between East Haddam and Haddam. Almost every year, ospreys build a nest on one of the bridge trusses. The new platform will be adjacent to the truss currently used by the ospreys.
