Public Information Meeting Regarding Project to Replace Noise Barrier Walls on Route 15 in East Hartford

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (Department) will be holding a Public Information Meeting regarding the replacement of noise barrier walls on Route 15 in East Hartford, Connecticut. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at the Silver Lane Elementary School in the gym, 15 Mercer Avenue, East Hartford, Connecticut. Department personnel will be available at 6:30 p.m. to answer questions prior to a formal presentation at 7:00 p.m.

Alternating One-Way Traffic on Route 1 at The Mystic River Bridge in Mystic, CT to Begin Wednesday, January 4, 2012

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that alternating one-way traffic will be maintained across the Mystic River Bridge for the rehabilitation project from Wednesday, January 4, 2012 until approximately April 15, 2012.

Lane Use Restriction For Trucks, Buses and Trailers on Interstate 95 Between Exits 33 and 34 in Milford and Stratford to Begin Week of December 12, 2011

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that trucks, buses and trailers will be restricted to the right travel lane only on Interstate 95 between Exit 33 (Ferry Boulevard/Route 1) and Exit 34 (Bridgeport Avenue Route 1) in the towns of Stratford and Milford beginning the week of December 12, 2011. This restriction will remain in place for the durtation of construction activity for the replacement of the Moses Wheeler Bridge that carries Interstate 95 over the Housatonic River.

Traffic Control Update on Route 1 in Guilford

Repairs to Seawall Damaged During Tropical Storm Irene on Route 154 in the Town of Old Saybrook

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that work will begin on or about November 17, 2011 for repairs to an existing seawall which was damaged during Tropical Storm Irene. The wall is located on Route 154, Maple Avenue, between Atlantic Drive and South Cove Road in Old Saybrook.

I-91 Windsor Resurfacing Project Adding Saturday Daytime Work on October 22, 2011 To Complete H.O.V. Lanes and Ramps At Exits 38 and 42

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that on Saturday, October 22, 2011, day time work is scheduled for the High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes on I-91 north and southbound and the ramps at Exit 38 and Exit 42 from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. Sunday. The work will require the H.O.V. lanes to be closed to traffic.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that on October 20, 2011, a nighttime ramp closure is scheduled at the Exit 46 on ramp (Route 59 Fairfield-Easton) to Route 15 northbound in the town of Fairfield. Installation of a drainage system is scheduled and will require the closure of the ramp from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a pavement crack sealing project for the Towns of Andover Rte. 6, Avon Rte. 44, Bolton Rte. 6 and 44, Canton Rte. 179, Farmington Rte. 10, Glastonbury Rte. 17, Manchester Rte. 6 and 44, Simsbury Rte. 167, Suffield Rte. 159 is scheduled to begin on or about Sunday May 1, 2011. The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that U.S. Route 1 in the town of Branford is scheduled to be closed to traffic to set new bridge girders for the Amtrak Railroad Bridge. There will be no access to north or south Route 1 between the I-95 on and off ramps at Exit 53, referred to as the Branford Connector, and Route 142 (Short Beach Road). The closure is currently scheduled for 9 p.m. Saturday, April 30, until 12 p.m. on Sunday, May 1, 2011.
