Interpretive Facilities

What better way to learn about nature than to be surrounded by it? Visitors become involved in the outdoor experience through self-guided nature trails and programs sponsored by our seasonal and year-round nature-environmental centers. Join us for the fun of learning.

Year Round Centers:

• Dinosaur State Park Exhibit Center - Rocky Hill

• James L. Goodwin Conservation Center - Hampton

Seasonal Centers:

• Peoples State Forest, Stone Museum - Pleasant Valley
  The museum is open Friday through Sunday from Memorial Day (May) until Labor Day (September).
• Fort Trumbull - New London
  The Fort is open Wednesday through Sunday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm from May 21 through Labor Day.  The Fort is closed between Labor Day and Memorial Day Weekend.
• Fort Griswold Battlefield State Park - Groton
  The museum and monument are open Wednesday through Sunday from Memorial Day to Labor day.  The grounds are open daily, year-round.
• Meig's Point Nature Center - Madison
