Project Description:
The Department has prepared a draft permit and made a tentative determination to approve, subject to public comment or other information, the facility's application to operate in a limited manner under an Air State Facility Permit, and accept limits which will “cap” its emissions of oxides of nitrogen (NOx) at 24.9 tons per year which is below the applicability thresholds of Title V of the Clean Air Act Amendments. By accepting these state and federally enforceable limits, the facility will not be subject to Title V, and the permittee will be required to maintain records and report this data to verify compliance with permit conditions and limits. This facility consists of one combustion turbine, fuel oil tanks, and several smaller tanks used for storing distillate, lubrication and/or dielectric oils.
