Emergency Burn Ban In Effect 10/26/24 - An emergency burn ban is now in effect for all Connecticut State Parks, Forests, and Wildlife Management areas, prohibiting the use of all outdoor grills, firepits, and campfires, and the kindling and use of flame outdoors. DEEP and local agencies are working to contain several active fires across the state. Please avoid all affected State Parks and Forests, as well as the blue-blazed Mattabesett Trail. The Enduro Trail in Voluntown and portions of North Stonington within the Pachaug State Forest are closed at this time. Please note that today's forest fire danger report remains at a 'very high' or 'extreme' level. Camille is a geologist who has worked at DEEP for 20 years, in addition to 7 years in environmental consulting. She brings her strong scientific background to coordinating and building environmental programs, problem solving, and bringing people together to protect human health and the environment. She currently serves in the Commissioner’s Office as the Director of the Office of Innovative Partnerships and Planning and as the Concierge Team Lead. Roles of this office include permit assistance, assistance for municipalities, and stakeholder outreach.

Emily’s background includes municipal climate change adaptation and mitigation program assistance; regulation of stormwater, residential wastewater, and potable water systems; contaminated site investigation; and federal, state, and local environmental and land use permitting.  Her experience on multiple sides of the stakeholder table allows her to help people and businesses work together to conserve, improve, and protect the natural resources and environment of Connecticut.
