Arts Project Grant Program

Important Notice

The Connecticut Office of the Arts will no longer be offering the Arts Project Grant Program. If you are an applicant interested in project funding, please review the guidelines for the Regional Initiative Grant Program when they are posted in the Spring of 2020. 

Overview

The Arts Project grant program encourages and supports arts-based projects of artistic excellence that are aligned with the Connecticut Office of the Arts' READI framework.  

Grant requests, which may range from $5,000-$15,000, can be used to help plan and implement arts-based projects for Connecticut audiences, communities and participants.   


Eligibility

This program is open to a wide array of applicants as listed below.   
  • Connecticut artist (must apply with a fiscal sponsor OR apply using your legal business entity) *Artist must be a Connecticut resident.
  • Arts organizations with 501(c)(3) status or with a fiscal sponsor 
  • 501(c)(3) non-arts organization with a history of conducting arts projects/programs 
  • Municipal departments 
  • School districts 
  • College/university (affiliated arts program or venue)
