What are the Current Rules on Gatherings?
NOTE: Beginning May 19, 2021, face masks will no longer be required outdoors. Vaccinated persons will also not be required to wear masks indoors. Unvaccinated persons will still be required to wear masks indoors. This guidance may be subject to change depending on venue. You can find the complete set of new mask guidelines here.
NOTE: Some municipalities may introduce new mandates on mask wearing, and in some cases this will be at the discretion of individual businesses. Please verify current masking status on those municipalities' websites prior to visiting.
Currently, most of Connecticut's rules for reopening are lifted, with certain exceptions related to the wearing of face coverings. It is still recommended that you follow social distancing protocols and specific capacities permitted for gatherings at indoor or outdoor venues.
Note: Executive Order No. 9G will allow executives of certain municipalities to revert to more restrictive rules for businesses and gatherings if those towns are presenting a high COVID infection rate (as identified by the CT Department of Public Health).
Please refer to the full executive order for details.
