Will my child be allowed to go camping this year? Are camps and campgrounds allowed to be open?
Will Camps be Operational for the Summer?
State park and forest campgrounds, rustic cabins, youth group, river camping, and backpack camping sites will all be open in spring for the 2021 season on a reservation-only basis. This is contingent on current public health guidance, cleaning protocols and the availability of adequate staff and appropriate PPE. Group campsite renters are responsible for complying with current guidelines on indoor mask wearing, distancing, and group size. Unvaccinated individuals must wear masks indoors. No masks are required outdoors for any individuals.
You can make camping reservations with Reserve America, or by calling toll free 1-877-668-CAMP (2267).
Day camps are able to operate, but with strict guidelines. For more information, please visit the latest guidance on the youth camp page.
