CT-Time Workforce Management Newsletter December 2018

Picture of clock

Welcome! We are excited to be launching our first CT-Time newsletter designed to keep you current on the CT-Time rollout! It is our commitment to provide timely and transparent information on this state-of-the-art initiative.

There are four agencies involved in Phase I of this project. They are the Department of Children and Families,
Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, and Department of Veterans Affairs. We are working to get them LIVE in Spring of 2019!  Our goal is to develop a repeatable implementation model for all other agencies following in future phases.  Please read more below for more info on Kronos.

CT-Time (Kronos) Clock installations are underway. You may have noticed, we’re installing Kronos clocks in many of our DVA, DCF, DESPP and DHMAS facilities as we get ready for the CT-Time rollout in mid-2019. Along with the installation of time clocks, we are implementing a cutting-edge solution that will make daily tasks easier and faster for you. It’s simple to use and it will help you view your schedule, vacation balance, hours worked, request time off and much more.

The Kronos Touch ID terminal does NOT collect or store fingerprints after it scans your touch. It saves a
numeric code so every time you use the biometric touch, it recognizes you automatically. This numeric code is only for your work here and will not be shared with any outside entity. You can use your right or left hand when you are using the clock.

In terms of cleanliness, the Touch ID terminal is no less clean than door handles, vending machines, ATM machines, coins, or a myriad of other things we touch in everyday life.  They will be cleaned regularly as part of our regular office cleanup.

Kronos clocks come with biometric technology designed to protect and ensure the accuracy of your information. It identifies and verifies you with a single scan of your finger, so you can do what you need to do quickly and get back to more important daily activities.

¾    Automate time entry for employees driving consistency across the state.

¾    Generate accurate and compliant Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and eligibility, attendance tracking and reporting.
