Consumer Alert: Anthem Provides Customer Service E-Mail For Enrollment Status

The Connecticut Insurance Department is offering the following information for customers of Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield of CT awaiting confirmation of coverage and payment from Anthem whose policies they chose during the Affordable Care Act open enrollment that began October 1, 2013.

Anthem has established a customer service email for questions or comments related to:

  • Application status
  • Payment status
  • Prescription benefits
  • Provider Participation status
  • Other issues
Click here to email Anthem with questions or comments (Note: Membership ID# is NOT required)
  1. Go to
  2. Click on the “In the News” link that reads “Customer Service Options – for members who selected  a plan on their states Exchange website”
  3. Click on Send a message to Customer Service: Send us your questions or comments.
  4. This will bring up the form – complete form and click submit. (Note that Membership ID is NOT a required field)
