Fire Companies in Jeopardy of Losing Funding

As a reminder to those Fire Companies that participated in the Limited Access Highway (LAH) reimbursement program, the one-time funding previously made available in the form of a $600 training voucher must be used by December 31, 2004 or the funding will be lost.

An account credited with $600 was established by the Commission on Fire Prevention and Control in the name of each participating volunteer fire company.  Credited funds could be used to procure any and all fee based services or materials provided by the Commission on Fire Prevention and Control or it's Connecticut Fire Academy.

The program will expire on December 31st and any vouchers not utilized or encumbered will be lost.  Fire companies that have not used their voucher are reminded and encouraged to take full advantage of these funds before they expire.
