10th Annual Fire Investigation School
The 10th Annual Fire Investigation School was conducted during Arson Awareness Week, May 2004, by the Connecticut Department of Public Safety in cooperation with the Connecticut Commission on Fire Prevention and Control and Connecticut Fire Academy.
The eighteen (18) students in the class conducted: Scene Investigation, Case Preparation and participated in a mock trial. The twenty-four (24) members of the CT Fire Academy Recruit Class provided the suppression operations needed, allowing them the opportunity for live burn training. Later on the day of the burn both the CT Fire Academy Officer-I class of twenty-four (24) students and the University of New Haven, Fire Investigation class of eighteen (18) students utilized the scenes for training purposes.
