The Connecticut Fire Academy announces the return of the Fire Service Instructors Development Seminar Saturday March 5, 2005 from 8am until 8pm. Keynote speakers Donna Forgy and Gene J. Cote have been selected for this extended single day seminar geared toward helping instructors hone course delivery skills. Donna Forgy of Proskills, Inc. will speak on “Attitude in the Classroom” and “Tips On Being More Effective In Your Presentations”. Gene J. Cote from Maine Fire Training and Education will present a forum entitled “Gizmos & Gadgets” in which he will speak to and demonstrate how instructors can produce and use low cost training props.

Presentations by the Connecticut Fire Academy Certification and Training Divisions will make the certified fire instructor aware of resources available for training, as well as review of new requirements placed upon instructors today.

The focus audience for the seminar includes fire department training officers, company training officers, certified instructors, and persons wishing to improve their delivery in teaching scenarios.
