Connecticut students in grades 3–12, independently or as part of a team, are welcome to submit a design for the Governor’s Summer STEM Challenge. By submitting an entry in either the individual challenge or group challenge, it is understood that all participants agree to and will abide by the items outlined in terms and conditions below:

Terms and Conditions

ELIGIBILITY: This challenge is open to any Connecticut school-aged child in grades 3-12. Submissions may be by an individual student or a team of students within the same grade bands of 3-5, 6-8, or 9-12.

ORIGINALITY: Challenge submissions must be original and solely owned by the submitter(s).

RIGHTS: Submitters own the intellectual property rights to their challenge submission.

CONTENT SUITABILITY: The challenge submission cannot be indecent, defamatory, in obvious bad taste, demonstrate a lack of respect for public morals or conduct, depict hatred, defame or threaten a specific community in the society, or incite violence. Pornography, obscenity, or sexual activity is prohibited. The applicant must not violate the intellectual property, common law, or privacy rights of other parties.
