According to the Parent, the District failed to provide the required accommodations to the Student in the general education setting, specifically an ASL interpreter since the Student transitioned back to an in-district school. (34 CFR §300.42)

Conclusion(s)

The District appropriately addressed the Parent's concerns by expanding interpreter services from only the Student’s science class to all core academic courses. Furthermore, the District took additional steps to support the Student’s needs by reviewing and updating the Student’s language and communication plan. As such, there was no violation of 34 CFR § 300.42. No Corrective Actions Required.
