Teacher of the Year Ceremony
Due to inclement weather, the Teacher of the Year Ceremony has been postponed to December 16, 2025 from 5-7pm. Doors will open at 4pm. The Ceremony will take place at the Bushnell Theater in Hartford, and the order of events will remain the same.

  • The Parent alleged that the District failed to provide a "back-up" Registered Behavior Therapist (RBT) in accordance with the Student's IEP and failed to notify the Parent of any changes to the (RBT) in accordance with the Student's IEP. (34 CFR § 300.17(d))

Conclusion(s):

  • Based on a review of the Student’s IEPs and the associated communication plan as related to RBT coverage, the District met the requirements of the IEP. Further, as specifically related to the communication plan for RBT coverage, during the occasion when the communication plan needed to be utilized, it was successful. It was concluded that the District was not out of compliance with 34 CFR § 300.17(d) and no corrective action was issued.
