CSDE Continues Solicitation of Public Feedback on Federal Relief Dollars for K-12 Education
(Hartford, CT) – The Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE) is continuing to seek feedback from all educational stakeholders on the Department’s use of dollars received through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ARP ESSER) fund. The last round of public forums took place in May of 2021.
“Connecticut residents’ insight into the effects of COVID-19 on teaching and learning is critical to our work across the state,” says Commissioner of Education Charlene Russell-Tucker. “The Department looks forward to engaging with education stakeholders to further understand and adequately respond to the needs of our school communities.”
CSDE is partnering with the State Education Resource Center (SERC) to hold two identical public forums. Staff will present on the Department’s current investments, as well as planned use of federal funds to serve Connecticut’s most vulnerable populations.
Participants will then have the opportunity to share their ideas for reimagining the school experience and transforming students’ lives. Anyone with an interest in education is invited to attend either event.

If you are unable to attend or would like to provide written feedback, you are encouraged to complete this online survey, available through June 15, 2022.
