Similar notice was also received for Title II, WIOA: Adult Basic and Literacy Education State Grants (including English Literacy and Civics Education State Grants).
The official Grant Award Notifications (GAN) are expected in the upcoming week which will provide the actual grant funding amounts; that is unknown at this time. The CSDE will review and share additional information, including the grant amounts received, as they become available.

- Reminder: Preliminary State Summative Assessment Results - Please see email dated May 12, 2025 for State Assessment Results Release schedule; District Contacts. The release of preliminary results is intended to help district and school educators to internally evaluate their efforts in 2024-25, and plan for the 2025-26 year. These results are not final until the CSDE has more thoroughly verified and compiled them and released them publicly later in August. Therefore, please emphasize to all CRS users that aggregate results for schools or the district for any state assessment should not be shared publicly with parents or members of the community, or otherwise made public until the CSDE has released the results publicly on EdSight in late August. This policy also applies to the results of the Connecticut SAT School Day.
- State Assessment Results Release Schedule - Preliminary state summative assessment results for Smarter Balanced, NGSS, and all Connecticut Alternate Assessments are now available on a rolling basis through Cambium Assessment Incorporated’s Centralized Reporting System. As in past years, preliminary results for all students are expected to be available in the Centralized Reporting System by mid-June.
- English Language Proficiency Assessment results are also now available. All LAS Links results for 2025 are now available in DRC’s INSIGHT secure portal and all CAAELP Results are available on the Centralized Reporting System. Detailed instructions are being sent under separate cover to the English Learner Assessment Coordinators.
- Connecticut SAT School Day results are available on a rolling basis through the College Board portal.
- As in prior years, please do not release any aggregate results for schools or the district for any state assessment until the CSDE has released the results publicly on EdSight. LAS Links results should be available on EdSight by the end of May while results for all other assessments are expected to be released publicly on EdSight by mid/late August.
- Are Your District’s Contacts with CSDE Up to Date? The CSDE uses the Find Contacts report on EdSight to disseminate important communication to relevant staff in your district. The Report Notes lists the specific contacts maintained in each source application. - Update on Outstanding FY 2025 Allocations - On July 1, 2025, we notified you that on June 30, 2025, the U.S. Department of Education (ED) alerted state leaders that certain outstanding funding allocations for fiscal year (FY) 2025 would not be made on July 1. As of today, these outstanding allocations still have not been made and no timeline for their release had been communicated to states. The CSDE is reviewing “supplement not supplant” implications of using state or local funds to temporarily support ED program activities while the grant awards are delayed.
