Far below normal precipitation has caused a drought and increased fire danger levels. All of Connecticut is currently in a Stage 2 Drought Advisory. Residents are encouraged to be mindful of water consumption and use extra caution to prevent fires. An emergency burn ban remains in effect at all state parks, forests, and wildlife management areas, prohibiting the use of all outdoor grills, firepits, campfires, etc.

The Connecticut Educational Theatre Association is an organization for K-12 theatre educators, affiliated with the national Educational Theatre Association (EdTA).
The Connecticut Drama Association is an organization for secondary school theatre teachers in Connecticut. The CDA hosts the annual Connecticut Drama Festival.
The Connecticut Arts Administrators Association (CAAA) is Connecticut's primary organization for theatre and other arts administrators, open to any interested teachers and administrators.
The American Alliance for Theatre and Education is dedicated to the transformation of children and communities through the theatre arts.
