The Navy is inviting utility and other energy services providers to attend an energy industry day on Aug. 20 to discuss future projects and potential opportunities for meeting the energy goals at Naval Submarine Base New London, Conn.

The event is intended “to engage industry in an interactive way to gather additional information to support on-going market research efforts for upcoming renewable and alternative energy projects,” according to the announcement. The industry day is meant for utility providers and entities with a vested interest in utilities servicing the base, as well as energy services contractors and subcontractors qualified to support Naval Facilities Engineering Command in large-scale energy projects, it says.

Registration is due by noon on Aug. 12. Announcement and registration materials are available on NECO.
