(HARTFORD, CT) – On Tuesday, the Connecticut Office of Health Strategy will hold a public hearing in Orange, Connecticut for the Certificate of Need application that would transfer ownership of Milford Health and Medical, Inc., the parent company of Milford Hospital, to Bridgeport Hospital, a member of the Yale New Haven Health System.
Pursuant to multiple sections of the General Statutes, OHS leads the Health Systems Planning Unit that administers the Certificate of Need program—a regulatory responsibility to promote statewide health facility and service development and monitor the community impact of provider acquisitions and consolidations.
Members of the public are invited to attend and /or submit comment.
