The goal of the Office of Child Support Services (OCSS) can assist with: establishing legal parentage of children; locating non-custodial parents; establishing monetary and medical support orders obligating parents to support their children; collecting and distributing child support payments; modifying child support orders if appropriate; and enforcing child support orders and related debt: child support, alimony (if it accompanies a child support order), medical orders, and child care orders.

Support Enforcement Services (SES) is part of the Judicial Branch, Court Operations Division. SES works closely with state and federal agencies to operate the Connecticut Child Support Enforcement Program. The division’s primary job is to help parents enforce and modify their child support orders.
