CT DOT Urges Caution Around Snowplows And Safe Driving In Winter Weather Conditions
Ahead of winter weather that blanketed the state last weekend, the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CT DOT) reminded motorists to stay off the roads, slow down, and exercise patience as crews work to clear highways and roadways of snow. “If you must travel this weekend during the storm, please remember to slow down, use caution and leave extra space between yourself and other vehicles. When you see plow drivers out there working to clear the roads, please give them space and don’t crowd the plow,” Connecticut Department of Transportation Commissioner Garrett Eucalitto said January 5. “When we’re given plenty of room to work, it helps ensure we can clear the roadways as quickly as possible to keep residents safe.”
