Lt. Governor Bysiewicz Launches 2020 Census Jobs Recruitment Campaign
Today, Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz, joined by the U.S. Census Bureau, Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Commissioner Sibongile Magubane, Deputy Commissioner Tony Guerrera, and Representatives Pat Wilson Pheanious, Hilda Santiago and Toni Walker, launched a statewide 2020 Census Jobs Recruitment Campaign at the DMV Main Office in Wethersfield.

LT. GOVERNOR BYSIEWICZ NAMED HONORARY CONNECTICUT CHAIR OF NATIONAL MILLION WOMEN MENTORS MOVEMENT
Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz has been named the Connecticut Honorary Chair of the Million Women Mentors’ (MWM). Connecticut now joins governors, lieutenant governors, members of congress, and other leaders from over 40 other states in a national movement aimed at advancing girls and women in STEM programs.

Governor Lamont and Lt. Governor Bysiewicz Recruit Leaders From Connecticut’s Largest Companies to Advance the Goals of the Governor’s Council on Women and Girls
Governor Ned Lamont and Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz today announced that they have recruited senior level executives from some of Connecticut’s largest companies, including several Fortune 500 companies, to serve on a Corporate Leadership Circle that will work to help advance the goals of the Governor’s Council on Women and Girls.

Lt. Governor Bysiewicz Named Statewide Chair of Connecticut State Employees Campaign for Charitable Giving
Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz has been named the Statewide Chair of the Connecticut State Employees Campaign for Charitable Giving (CSEC). Today, she joined the Statewide Campaign Committee to kick off the 2019 campaign at the State Capitol. During the event, state employees and retirees had the opportunity to meet with representatives from participating charities and learn more about the great programs and services that they provide.

Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz, Senator Marilyn Moore, and women’s equality advocates today commemorated Black Women’s Equal Pay Day at MClevy Green in Bridgeport with advocates from the Connecticut Women's Education and Legal Fund (CWEALF), Planned Parenthood of Southern New England, and the Connecticut chapter of the National Organization for Women.

HARTFORD, CT –Lt. Governor Bysiewicz joined State Veterans Affairs Commissioner Thomas Saadi, statewide veteran leaders and Hmong General Sar Phouthasack at the Middletown Military Museum in Middletown today for the signing of a policy by Commissioner Saadi—the first of its kind at a state level in the nation—providing burial rights for the Hmong and Laotian Special Guerrilla Unit Veterans residing in Connecticut who operated in support of the United States military, during the War in Vietnam.

(HARTFORD, CT) – Governor Ned Lamont and Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz today told top executives of Netflix, Disney, and AMC that Connecticut is a perfect location for them to conduct business, following recent announcements from all three companies that they are considering pulling the production of their respective movies and television shows out of Georgia after that state passed one of the most restrictive abortion laws in the nation.
