Far below normal precipitation has caused a drought and increased fire danger levels. All of Connecticut is currently in a Stage 2 Drought Advisory. Residents are encouraged to be mindful of water consumption and use extra caution to prevent fires. The purpose of the Judicial Selection Commission is to evaluate, investigate and recommend qualified candidates for consideration by the Governor for nomination as judges for the Superior Court, the Appellate Court and the Supreme Court.

The JSC is governed by CGS 51-44a and is comprised of a 12 member commission with members appointed by the Governor and Legislative Leaders.
