Governor’s Highway Safety Association

The Governor’s Highway Safety Association (GHSA) is a national organization representing various state highway safety offices. We work with GHSA in the implementation of federal grant programs to address behavioral highway safety issues in Connecticut.

Driver Alcohol Detection System

The Driver Alcohol Detection System for Safety (DADSS) Research Program represents the world’s leading automakers and NHTSA in developing innovations that save lives on our roads. Recently, we teamed with DADSS to introduce Connecticut to a vehicle that can passively detect if a driver is under the influence of alcohol.

CT Children's Injury Prevention Center Partner Logo

CT Children's Injury Prevention Center

The mission of the Injury Prevention Center (IPC) at Connecticut Children’s is to reduce unintentional injury and violence among Connecticut residents and to translate research into injury prevention programs and policy. The CTDOT and IPC work together on several programs including Watch for Me (pedestrian and bicyclist safety) and Where’s Baby (hot car deaths).
