There are four types of business licenses that the DCP may issue under a new law in Connecticut permitting online gaming and retail sports wagering:
- A master wagering license is limited to the Mohegan tribe, Mashantucket Pequot tribe and the Connecticut Lottery Corporation to offer different forms of expanded gaming in the State
- An online gaming operator license for businesses contracting with a master wagering licensee to provide the online wagering platform for fantasy contests, sports wagering, casino gaming, lottery draw games, and keno
- An online gaming service provider license for businesses supplying certain equipment, goods and services to retail sports wagering licensees, online gaming operators and master wagering licensees
- A retail sports wagering license for businesses contracting with the Connecticut Lottery Corporation to offer in-person sports betting at retail locations in Connecticut
