Financial Fireside Chat: Serving the Underserved

On Monday, November 14, 2022, the Governor's Council for Women and Girls' Subcommittee on Economic Opportunity and Workforce Equity, Financial Literacy Workgroup hosted a one-hour webinar focused on innovative approaches to financial education.

The program featured Credit Union League of Connecticut President and CEO Bruce Adams, who facilitated a discussion on the work credit unions are doing to innovatively support communities and promote financial wellness.  Panelists Vanessa Kuduk, Vice President of Lending and Hispanic Outreach with Members Credit Union, and Jeff Tracey, Vice President of Lending with Mutual Security Credit Union discussed the importance of increasing consumer financial wellness, banking undocumented residents, and ensuring compassionate approaches to consumer relationships.
