CT Veterans War Time Service Medal: Posthumous

Overview

The Posthumous Connecticut Veterans Wartime Service Medal was authorized by Public Act 08-87 and signed into law on May 23, 2008. Public Act 09-90 authorizes the Commissioner of Veterans Affairs to posthumously award a ribbon and medal to Connecticut veterans who served in time of war and who died on or after November 12, 1918. The Connecticut Veterans Wartime Service Medal was authorized by the Connecticut General Assembly and Governor M. Jodi Rell in 2005.

One (1) Posthumous Connecticut Veterans Wartime Service Medal per Connecticut veteran with qualifying wartime military service who died on or after November 12, 1918 is eligible to be issued to a designated family member.
