Recovery Support

  • The Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services' (DMHAS) Veterans Recovery Center (VRC) is located on the DVA campus as a four-week outpatient service available to DVA Resident Veterans and Veterans in the community.

Veteran Entertainment and Technology Connection, or VET Connection

  • Resource center for Veteran Residents

Veterans Fitness Center

  • Veterans Fitness Center with new cardio machines and weights

Veteran DIY Auto Shop 

  • A DIY Auto Shop is available for Veteran Residents to perform maintenance and repairs on their personal vehicle. The Auto Shop is equipped with power & hand tools, jacks, oil disposal, compressed air, a welding machine and more. 

Recreation and Activities

  • The Residential Facility Recreation Department offers a variety of in-house recreational activities, community activities and community trips. 
  • Activities include but are not limited to: fishing trip, outdoor games, card games, bingo, therapeutic horseback riding, aqua therapy, open doors outdoors hikes, yard goats, kayaking, mall trips, PGA Hope, board games, movie trips, and more.
